Dhaka is among the few cities in Asia where the transportation system is a mixture of virtually all types. Roads are shared whereby modern vehicles like oil-fed cars and buses are interspersed with cow-driven carriages and human-pulled rickshaws. This setting seems to be chaotic and harmonious at the same time. I shall write more on this recollection in my upcoming article provisionally-titled ‘All in One’ in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
During that 2015 visit, a strong earthquake hit Nepal. We felt the tremor as we all had to eventually get out of the building. Bangladesh was spared from such a calamity. I was simply fortunate to experience only minor tremor while there.
